Michael Morton is a native
Texan, born and raised in Houston. He called the Hill Country
home a few of his grade school years and while at college.
Now he resides with his family on the Katy Prairie. Aside
from living in some vastly different areas of Texas, Michael
has hunted, fished, camped, hiked, climbed, and biked the
state from corner to corner. You might say he knows Texas
like the back of his hand. This is apparent in the variety
of images he has gathered from across the state.
Michael attended undergraduate
school at Southwest Texas State University and graduate school
at University of Houston-Clear Lake. After an unsatisfying
career in hospital administration, he finally listened to
that little voice inside and enrolled in the Photography program
at the Art Institute of Houston. There, he received a Merit
Scholarship and graduated with honors.
After graduation, Michael
quickly became successful in commercial photography but he
still wasn't doing what he had set out to do. The images on
this website are examples of Michael Morton's true passion,
nature and wildlife photography. And he is happy to create
all of his work in one of the finest studios on earth, the
great state of Texas!

"I only hope that you enjoy my images of Texas
as much as I enjoy creating them." |
